How to “tune in”!!!!! Very helpful reminder. Yes, even in the city, soot and cars and signs of the less fortunate, where the redwoods are so far away, anyone can still marvel at the leaves starting to turn ever so slightly here in New England.

Thank Fr. Joe for me. He makes it easy!!

The discipline of wonder. Beautiful concept.

The power of paying attention to what our senses reveal and appreciating the revelations. I’m inspired by Father Joe’s words to take a walk with my 4 yr old grandson and see what our 5 senses show us. The images and sounds in this video are also so lovely.

I think Fr. Joe’s reminder to experience beauty everywhere we find it in our lives (he calls it the Ministry of Beauty, and there is even something called the Theology of Beauty) is a simple and immediate way to enrich our lives. How lucky you are to share that with Atticus, Judy.

Thanks for your note, Rebecca. My sister (Tyrell, below) likes the idea of “the discipline of wonder,” too.

It’s simple and obvious, but I think we tend to forget to look around and really see all the wonders!

Stop and go back and listen again to this meditation. It will only take a few minutes a day to really get in touch with our Creator. God is speaking to you through your 5 senses.

Just do it every morning and night. You will be surprised at the love that pours from you to others. Its like those redwood trees. They all hold each other up. That the way God intends to show you His love and and you will naturally share this love with others.

Go on just take some deep breaths and enjoy the breath of God.
