Abu al-abbas al Mursi Mosque, Alexandria, Egypt

This is the largest and most important mosque in all of Egypt. It is located on the harbor of Alexandria and is a stopping point for pilgrims on their way to Mecca.

  1. I thought the mosque was really beautiful and glad for the images and sounds. I was sad for the women who could not enter and sad that men are still in this weird state of paranoia about women sharing god, that which is sacred or sharing power. If God doesn’t move men toward inclusion, what can?
