Enjoyed this one…..didn’t catch your guide’s name, but his smile was certainly “holy” – he seemed to exude happiness. And…enjoyed seeing Santa Sabina “in wax” !
In Sept. 2010 we visited this Cathedral and were welcomed by Father Alphonse. We couldn’t remember the name of Saint Sabina, so are happy to find this website to refresh our memory. Thanks for posting this video.
hi there, i was wondering if u have this priest’s email address as my parents were married at st catherines back in the 40’s and i need to ask for some documents. thanks.
I wish to know more about the church clock which was made by a Maltese mechanical engineer by the name of Michaelangelo Sapiano.
A few years back a friend of mine came to the wonderful Cathedral to see the clock and its mechanism. He was warmly welcomed by presumably father Alphonse and kindly let him up the belfry to take some photos. I am interested to have this clock functioning again as from the photos it seems to be out of action.
Kindly give me your feedback.
hi, can anyone please give me the address of Saint Catherine Catherdal in Alexandria Egypt as I wish to write to Fra Giorgio regarding masses for the dead.

My name is Joe, My parents were married in St Catherine, in 1948 by the late padre Cremona, and us my brothers and me were baptised there.
It is so nice to have been able to see this video I truly enjoyed specially seeing Santa Sabina and share with my wife and children.
they used build the Crib in that area in my time there, fond memories of that beautiful church, we used to live across the road from the church Rue Abu Dardaa.
Father Alphonse, does look very kind and so at peace, very nice quality, if I return to Alexandria I will go and visit him.
Thank you so much for sharing this video, May God bless you and keep you safe. Joseph.
Hi Joe, Thanks so much for your nice note! My mother (who is now 98) was born in Alexandria (and named me Alexandra). Although her family went to the Greek Orthodox Church, I felt this was a truly special place, and Father Alphonse was a kind and gracious host. I hope you have a chance to go back for a visit!

He was Father Alphonse, a very sweet man. (Santa Sabina sure got around! Or at least her relics.)
